Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnnekymes were among the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. She started working in the world of music in the early years of her life. When she was 10 years old, she took part in local contests, and then recorded her first album. The year 1985 saw her enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 released her debut solo album. In 1989, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station together with whom she performed.
