Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter Josephine Ormond, who works as a lab technician as well as John Ormond. Ormond is the second of five children for her parents. She went to private schools, initially Guildford High School and then Cranleigh School, where early stage performances like Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady began to draw attention. After one year of art school, she transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art which she attended until 1988. Ormond first appeared on British TV in the series Traffik. This show focused on the illicit heroin trade, from the far East to Europe. Ormond was the heroin addict daughter of the main character, she was a Home Office minister who was involved in battling heroin imports. This early role won glowing reviews.
